| “Melodious Toadius” name wins contest! |
After a popular six-week long naming contest the newly erected Music in the Gardens mascot statue has been named Melodious Toadius! The winning entry was submitted by Laura Sims of Amarillo. As the winner she received an annual membership to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens. Contest results were announced at the final Music in the Gardens performance August 25, 2008. Melodious Toadius, a six foot frog musician statue, is on permanent display near the conservatory.
