Insufficient Funds (NSF)
Insufficient Funds
performs a variety of music including jazz, folk, soul,
disco, R & B, country and classic rock.
For 17 years, their forte has been playing music for
all ages.
NSF
has been the opening act for such artists as Steve Wariner,
Johnny Rivers, Jerry Jeff Walker, The Beach Boys, Robert
Earl Keen and Creedence Clearwater.
They have also represented this area in Austin during
“Panhandle Appreciation Day”.
Their busy schedule includes 50+ events a year
throughout the Texas Panhandle as well as Oklahoma, Denver,
Dallas and Fredericksburg.
The
Amarillo Globe News readers survey voted NSF the BEST
BAND for the last 5 years.
Band members include: Chuck Alexander on Bass and
Vocals, Mary Lyn Halley on Guitar and vocals, Vic Richardson
on Drums and Dean Yates on Guitar and vocals.
The band began in 1993 with Alexander, Halley and
Yates playing together.
They added Richardson as the drummer in 1997.
They attribute their longevity to their “love of
music and the friendship between them”.
“It is not about us, it is about everyone else having
a good time.”
