We need your support!  Since the Amarillo Garden Club was  first formed in the spring of 1929, hundreds of men and women of vision have
worked hard to prove that gardening is possible on the dry, high plains of  Texas.  Today, the Gardens are living works of art in the Panhandle supported
almost exclusively by private donations.  Join in our efforts to share nature's beauty with the people of Texas.  

"Maintenance is Beautiful" Sponsor

A $2,500 gift will underwrite the cost of Gardens' mechanical maintenance for one month, as well as provide support for additional expenses such as repairing walls, fountains, and the greenhouses. In addition to the Wisteria level of membership benefits provided for gifts of $2,500 or more, "Maintenance is Beautiful" sponsors will be recognized with signage describing their gift on-site.  They will also be featured in one issue of the newsletter and on the ABG website for that entire month.

"Adopt a Spot" Sponsor (One Year)

A $1,500 gift gives sponsors the opportunity to have an impact in a small, specific area of the Gardens for one year. The funds will provide for things like annual and perennial plantings for the adopted spot, identifying plant signage, mulch, maintenance, seasonal bulbs and other expenses. Identification markers with the sponsor's name and/or honoree's name will be displayed at their adopted spot. Many thanks to our current Adopt-a-Spot Sponsors.

"Adopt a Pot" Sponsor (One Year)

"Adopt a Pot" gifts support the expense of one large pot on the Gardens'
grounds.  A $300 gift will purchase a new pot or fill an existing pot with
seasonal plantings for a year, as well as signage, maintenance, and irrigation expense, for example. These gifts allow the Gardens to emphasize annuals and seasonal color, as well as place unusual plantings in priority locations throughout the year.  Identification markers with the sponsor's name and/or honoree's name will be displayed at their adopted pot. Conservatory Plant Wish List

ABG Horticulturist, Greg Lusk, plans to incorporate new plants in the Mary E. Bivins Tropical Conservatory to offer winter interest and long lasting color. Some plants he is wanting to add this winter are the Acai Palm, Hawaiian Sunset Vine, and a Hawaiian native fern collection. A $100 donation covers the purchase price and initial care for one of these new additions.

Plans are underway for a Children's Garden.The playful, informal setting of the Garden and our hands-on, child-centered approach to teaching will not only support a child's acquisition of new knowledge, but will also provide an environment that builds social, emotional, physical and creative competencies.

These gifts allow the Gardens to emphasize annuals and  seasonal color, as well as place unusual plantings in priority locations throughout the year.
