The Mission of the Amarillo Botanical Gardens
Serving the community by inspiring interaction with plants and the environment, creating adventure and conveying knowledge.
Whether you are new to gardening, a practiced pro, or somewhere in between, we have a great class for you! We strive to bring you educational, yet fun classes on fresh new gardening ideas. We hope you will join us. Check for upcoming schedules on our calendar page.
Class Size: Groups may not exceed 50 students. At least two adults must accompany every group of 25 students.
Class Days: Classes offered Tuesdays & Thursdays, except for special circumstances arranged through the Educational Team.
Behavioral Expectations: Students should be prepared to follow simple instructions, listen respectfully and follow the rules of the Gardens.

Butterflies, Insects, Plant Propagation, Bees, Trees and Seeds - Recommended for Grades Pre-K, and K-5
Rainforest ,Water Conservation - Recommended for Grades 2-5
Ants, Pollinators - Recommended for Grades 3-5
Lesson Descriptions: Each visit to the Gardens will include a tour of the gardens and conservatory and a brief lesson on a topic, including an activity. Activities may consist of one or two of the following:
Making a craft
Creating a terrarium
A song, dramatic play, or game
A book or poem
Fees: Guided tours, program, etc.: $2.50 per school age child. Accompanying teachers are free.
Reservations: Required for all classes and tours. To check the availability calendar or receive further information, email us. A final headcount for class attendees is required a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations/Missed appointments: Classes needing to cancel, or those unable to attend their scheduled appointment for any reason, are responsible for payment for the reserved number of class attendees.
